Turnitin is an American commercial, Internet-based plagiarism detection service.
This software is intended for teachers and mentors as a tool for checking the authenticity of student papers, and for students themselves as a tool for self-checking their own papers.
Turnitin checks for potentially unoriginal content by comparing submitted papers to several databases using a proprietary algorithm. It scans its own databases and also:

Chemical and Environmental Technology (CET) is a university graduate study programme. Classes are held exclusively in English, in classical ex cathedra lectures. CET is an interdisciplinary study programme providing students with skills and knowledge from technical sciences; chemical, environmental and material engineering, and natural sciences; applied and analytical chemistry.
Enrolment requirements:
Completed undergraduate study programme in the field of chemical technology, environmental protection, chemical engineering, chemistry and related sciences, along with a mandatory B2 level of proficiency of the English language (confirmed by TOEFL or equivalent test)

FCT now has three undergraduate studies: Chemistry, Chemical Technology (with orientations Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection) and Food Technology, three graduate studies: Chemistry (orientations Environmental Chemistry and Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Chemical Technology (orientations Materials and Environmental Protection) and Food Technology, two postgraduate studies: Chemistry of the Mediterranean Environment and Chemical Engineering in Materials Development and Environmental Protection, professional study Materials protection and recycling and Pharmacy (in collaboration with The School of Medicine in Split). The curriculum is governed by the Bologna process. Undergraduate studies last 3 years and have 180 ECTS, graduate studies last 2 years and have 120 ECTS, postgraduate studies last 3 years and have 180 ECTS, professional study lasts 3 years and has 180 ECTS while Pharmacy study last 5 years and has 360 ECTS. All studies are currently in Croatian language. Total number of students at FCT in academic year 2018/19 is 702.
FCT building is situated at the University campus at the address Ruđera Boškovića 35, Split. The total area of FCT is around 5000 m2 while more than 3000 m2 are available for lectures (9 lecture rooms, 1 computer science room and 1 amphiteater), laboratories (10 student laboratories - 18 more will be opened in 2019, 24 scientific laboratories, 3 semi industrial laboratories) and studying (library). FCT building is located in vicinity of student hostel (http://www.splithostels.eu/en/drfranjo.html) with restaurant, equipped fitness gym, one closed sports hall, 2 outdoor sports courts etc.
