Serbia and Belgrade are located in the Central European Standard time zone CET
(GMT + 1 hour)
Language:
The official language is Serbian.
Passport and Visa:
Foreign visitors to Serbia are required to bring a valid passport/travel document. Some of participants may need visa.
Please, check the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia website, to see if you need the visa.

Climate:
Climate in Belgrade is moderate continental with four seasons. The climate at the beginning of June is warm with
average daily temperatures ranging from 25 – 30ºC and chances of rain. Evenings are usually cooler and a light
overcoat is desirable.
Currency:
The official Serbia’s currency is the “dinar” (RSD). Money may be exchanged at all banks and post offices as
well as at authorized exchange offices. Dinar current exchange rate may be checked on the website of the
National Bank of Serbia.
Banks are openes from 9:00 until 17:00 Monday through Friday and from 9:00 to 15:00 on Saturday.
Credit cards:
ATMs are located throughout the city and accept most major credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Maestro, American
Express, Diners). Major credit cards are accepted at almost all restaurants and businesses in Belgrade.

International Access Code 00.

Transportation:
By plane:
The „Nikola Tesla“ Belgrade international airport is the major airport in Serbia.
It is located just 20-30 minutes away from the Belgrade city center and the main conference and accommodation
facilities. The National Airline Company is Air Serbia.
Meeting organizers will provide the transportation for all participants to and from the airport. Additional
information: before and after each flight there is an airport bus running in both directions. Public bus
number 72 also goes to city center every 30 minutes. City taxis operate on the same route.

By bus:
Regular bus lines connect Belgrade with all parts of Serbia. International bus lines
operate to most European countries. Information about bus schedules may be obtained at the website:

By car:
Belgrade is located at the intersection of European E-70 and E-75 highways. The
distances from Belgrade to the European Cities may be checked at the website: www.tob.rs
Local transportation:
Belgrade ground transportation consists of trams, trolleybuses and
buses. The conference and accommodation facilities are within walking distance.

Electricity:
Electricity in Serbia is 220V. Electrical outlets are standard European. For 110V appliances you will need a converter and adapter plug.
